Versa Networks gains visibility and smashes lead capture goal by sponsoring SDxCentral’s Virtual Edge Report
Versa seeks media platform to engage next-gen IT infrastucture professionals across diverse verticals
When Versa Networks, made its market debut in 2015, it wanted to build on its launch momentum and generate awareness for itself and the emerging software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE) market.
An early innovator in a rapidly growing market, Versa’s marketing team sought a media and research platform that engaged its target buyers, who cut across enterprise, service providers, networking, and security. They found most outlets rigidly focused on one segment or one technology and thus did not have an audience that would appreciate Versa’s comprehensive approach.
SDxCentral was different. It focuses on next-generation, software-defined infrastructure, and has since its founding in 2012. Driven by audience demand its coverage has expanded to include Cloud Management, DevOps, Security, IoT, and 5G without losing sight of its core mission to serve as a trusted information center for the evolving infrastructure community.
“We know that real-time, on-demand media is one of the most effective ways to reach next-generation infrastructure professionals,” Versa’s Head of Product Marketing Robert McBride said. “SDxCentral’s unique blend of news, research, and analysis is written with solution end users in mind. I was particularly impressed by how SDxCentral covers the networking and cloud space from both enterprise and telecom perspectives and was confident that they had the right audience for us.”
Standing out with engaging and impactful content
Versa had refined its technology in stealth mode prior to its official launch, but it was still seen as a newcomer to the increasingly crowded SD-WAN market. McBride knew establishing the right partnership was key to connecting with its target buyers.
When he learned of the upcoming virtual edge report, he knew he’d found the focus of his campaign.
“We chose to sponsor the SDxCentral’s SD-WAN and vCPE report because it perfectly addressed our solutions and audience,” he said. “Many of our customers and prospects view SDxCentral news
and content as a primary source of education and research for their current and future projects,
making sponsoring a report on a new disruptive technology, the perfect fit.”
SDxCentral delivers ‘on all fronts’
Versa purchased a report sponsorship package for SDxCentral’s Virtual Edge Report: SD-WAN/vCPE that included: prominent placement of Versa’s report listing in the report highlighting its unique approach to SD-WAN and security, and a companion webinar hosted and moderated by SDxCentral.
SDxCentral managed all aspects of the report and webinar production, including promotion to SDxCentral’s over 200,000 unique monthly visitors.
“As with any major adoption of new technology, form factor, or service model, IT professionals are concerned about the complexities and challenges of implementation,” McBride said. “The webinar was a great platform for us to educate industry professionals how to design, deploy, and operate an NFVbased
managed service offering.”
Versa received significant visibility as a SD-WAN leader. The report has been downloaded by over 2,500 IT infrastructure professionals, and Versa’s webinar generated over 500 high-quality leads.
“SDxCentral delivers on all fronts: easy to work with and a platform that provided visibility and hundreds of leads for our sales funnel along with an asset to use in our marketing campaigns and efforts moving forward,” McBride said.
